Erik Nielsen-OTR/L, CHT
Certified Hand and Occupational Therapist
Erik graduated from the School of Occupational Therapy at the University of Washington in 1991. He then went on to complete an internship with the Army at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. While serving on Active Duty, he obtained specialty training in Upper Extremity evaluation and treatment.
In 1996, after finishing his Army service, Erik moved back to Seattle and became a Certified Hand Therapist in 1997. He joined Seattle Orthopedic Center in 2012, bringing over 20 years of experience to the practice. In 2018, Erik was recognized in Seattle Magazine’s list of “Top Doctors” under the Physical Therapy section. He enjoys being part of the recovery process and educating patients on proper recovery techniques.
Erik lives in Ballard with his wife and two daughters. His free time is spent coaching, playing soccer or winemaking.
